VirCom EMS is an Electricity Governance Regulations participant Class A Meter Test House Laboratory providing metering services for various types and classes of electrical meters from Class 0.2 to Class 2.0.

We operate under ISO 17025 accreditation for the Class A Test House functions of testing Class 0.2 CTs, Class 0.2 and Class 0.5 meters. The testing of Class 1.0 and Class 0.5 CT meters are completed as Electricity Governance Regulations Class B Test House functions using ISO 9001:2000 certification.

New meters are tested for accuracy to IEC Standards 61036 or 60521, new current transformers are tested to IEC Standard 60044-1.

Our testing methodology is driven by the International Electro-technical commission standards for metering equipment types and classes. Procedures have been developed in line with Electricity Governance Regulations regulations and, when necessary, from the ISO 17025 Standard. All sampling techniques and results are based on the requirements of these codes or standards.
